In the picturesque Lauterbrunnen Valley, a lot revolves around water. This hike, which can also be called a walk, passes the Staubbach Falls after a short march. It then goes past the thundering Trümmelbach Waterfalls and the Breithorn campground, continuing over the Weisse Lütschine to Stechelberg. Treat yourself to a delicious meal or warm up with a hot drink in this little village. You can then return to Lauterbrunnen on foot along the same route or take the bus.

Author Tips

The Staubbach Gallery is only accessible during the summer season, but, no matter what time of year it is, the Staubbach Falls will take your breath away: it’s usually frozen solid in winter and illuminated with colourful lights. The Trümmelbach Waterfalls, which are also along the route, are open from April to November, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Equipment

  • After a snowfall, the ground can be softer and more difficult to walk on.

Safety Guidelines

  • Bergwander-Check
  • Nach Schneefällen kann der Untergrund weich und schwieriger zum Laufen sein.
