The landmark of Lauterbrunnen and the highest free-falling waterfall in Switzerland can be viewed from behind in summer via a specially constructed gallery. The Staubbachfall Waterfall is illuminated during the high season. The world-famous poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was inspired by this impressive waterfall and wrote the poem "Gesang der Geister über den Wassern" in 1779. Entry is free of charge.
