Tradition and culture

The Klöppelstube (lace-making studio)

Lacemaking here is a tradition dating back to 1670. The lacemakers of Lauterbrunnen will tell you about their craft and give you the chance to look over their shoulders as they work.

History

Tal- und Sagenmuseum Lauterbrunnen (Lauterbrunnen Valley and Legends Museum)

Here, we honour our elders and their traditions by passing those traditions on. At the Tal- und Sagenmuseum Lauterbrunnen (Lauterbrunnen Valley and Legends Museum), you can discover what a hotel room looked like around 1900, which skis were used for the first Lauberhorn races and what life was like for Alpine farmers in the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
