How do I get to Lauterbrunnen?

From Interlaken Ost station, you can reach Lauterbrunnen in 24 minutes. Take the blue and yellow Berner Oberland Bahn (BOB) train from platform 2A to Lauterbrunnen. Board at the front of the train, as the rear section continues on to Grindelwald from Zweilütschinen. Many accommodation options and attractions are just a few minutes’ walk or a short bus ride from the station.
The journey from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen takes 20 to 30 minutes (depending on the season). In winter, you should expect snow-covered roads and black ice. There is a multi-storey car park directly below Lauterbrunnen railway station. Alternatively, you can use the car park by Lauterbrunnen Church. In winter, free ski buses run in the village.
Please note that parking facilities in Lauterbrunnen and Stechelberg are limited, particularly at peak times. We therefore recommend that you use the Park-&-Ride scheme. This allows you to park your car outside the town centre and continue your journey comfortably by public transport – stress-free and without having to search for a parking space.
Zurich Airport
Direct trains run every two hours from Zurich Airport to Interlaken Ost. However, there are also other connections (with a change in Bern) to choose from. Journey time: approx. 3 hours
Basel Airport
By bus (bus route 11) you can reach Basel railway station in approx. 15 minutes. From here, there are five direct trains a day to Interlaken Ost. There are numerous other train connections (with a change in Bern or Spiez) to choose from. Journey time: approx. 3 hours
Geneva Airport
There are numerous train connections (with a change in Bern) to choose from. Journey time: approx. 4 hours

The Berner Oberland Railway from platform 2A takes you to Lauterbrunnen.
