First Cliff Walk by Tissot Grindelwald

Viewing platform with a thrill

The alpine choughs on First have it good: they circle over alpine meadows, forest and a high waterfall. On the viewing platform by the terrace of the mountain restaurant, you can imagine what it must feel like - thrills included: the platform juts out 45 metres into the void. To reach it, you first head up the west side of the First summit to dizzying heights: On the First Cliff Walk by Tissot, it's not just the view into the valley that's beautiful for take-off, but also the mountain-side view: the rocks with their layers and niches serve as a take-off and landing site for alpine choughs.
