The highest railway station in Europe - and so much more. The Jungfraujoch is located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. Snow and ice are guaranteed here all year round.
Popular attractions include the Sphinx Observatory, the Ice Palace, and the plateau, where visitors can enjoy walks in the eternal snow. In summer, a variety of adventure activities provide additional fun in the snow. The Jungfraujoch is home to Europe’s highest railway station and offers four restaurants, a cafeteria, shops, and souvenir stores.
Europe’s highest permanently staffed research and weather station is also located on the Jungfraujoch.
In addition, the Jungfraujoch is the starting point for the hike to the Mönchsjoch Hut, as well as for numerous guided glacier hikes and high-alpine ski tours.
