Lauterbrunnen unfolds its very own magic in winter. When the cold season envelops the snow-covered peaks of the Jungfrau Region, the idyllic valley is transformed into a true winter wonderland. The majestic waterfalls for which the Lauterbrunnen Valley is known freeze under a glistening layer of ice, while the traditional chalets and nearby alpine villages are covered in snow as if they had stepped out of a fairytale book.
Whether for a leisurely walk, extensive winter hikes, snowshoe tours or skiing. A visit to the region in and around Lauterbrunnen is also worthwhile in winter.
